What’s it Like to Work with Me?

My approach is relaxed yet playful. I like to work collaboratively with clients and am very much interested in working with the material that’s present with you in the moment. I am interested in what you have to say and learn about the perspectives, ideas, opinions and experiences you carry with you. As an Expressive Arts Therapist, I have the stance that you are the expert in your life, and I am simply the companion supporting you in your journey. I will not tell you how to solve your “problems”, nor will I impose my opinions. Rather, it is my role to cultivate creative experiences to help bring your strengths to light. By working through the process together, you will be faced with challenges, you will discover creative solutions and ultimately find new perspectives.
Following the creative process, we end our sessions by discussing your experience. I will ask you questions like “What was surprising? Were there any obstacles? How did you work around them?” . As you reflect on and share your insights, you will come to uncover bits of wisdom. Over time, these bits of wisdom grow and grow, until you eventually learn to implement them into your daily life. It will soon become second nature and you’ll find… you’ll have rediscovered all the wonderful parts of you.

*as a way to adapt to the current pandemic situation, I am offering my services virtually only.
